Shattered Sea by Catherine Cowles

Shattered Sea is the 4th book in the Tattered and Torn series. We had met Laiken in the previous book as Addie's sweet boss, but did not know too much about her past. Boden is new to this series and has come to Wolf Gap as an escape from the press and his brother after a tragedy had happened. Both of these characters have both of their scars close to heart and Laiken has people holding her back from moving on from her past.

This book had all the suspense that I love about Catherine Cowles books. And there was really no guessing who was the one behind all of these murders. I do have to admit that this is not my favorite book in this series. I am not saying that it is bad, but it got me more excited for the next book than it did have me in the moment of this one. It may be because these characters were not ones we had known very well prior to this to really get excited. Also, there were parts of the book that were pretty predictable.

I did love the relationship Boden has with his dad and how you did feel the emotional torminal that was going on within their unit because of his brother. And that Laiken had a great support system even though her own family was not hers. You do not have to read the other books to know what is going on with this one. However, it is fun to catch up with the other characters and see how far they had come from their own books. I cannot wait for Shiloh's book.

I also had the opportunity to listen to the audible of this book. and these voice actors did an amazing job telling this story and bringing
