Happily Letter After by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

Happy Letter After is an adorable, light, addicting, easy read that all starts with a letter to Santa. Sadie works for a newsletter and during the summer she writes a dating column in the summer and one day in June she gets a letter for Santa (her winter column) from a Birdie Maxwell. The letter touches Sadie so much she writes back and also sends Sadie some things to help her believe in Santa. Over the next few months Sadie grows a connection to Birdie and by chance ends up with a fake job as a dog trainer. Sabastian Maxwell is Birdies dad and a single dad, his wife had passed away a couple of years prior and is doing the best he can for his daughter. When Sadie comes into his life, they do not start off on the right foot but birdies connection to Sadie has her getting closer and closer to them and him feeling things he never wanted to feel again. I love how mature and understanding Sadie is with everything Sabastian is going through as she has seen it with her own family and is a support system rather than a jealous girlfriend.

This book is so cute, there is not much drama and it gets predictable at times. There is a lot of talk on cancer, adoption, and donors. But honestly if you are looking for a light read that you cannot put down this is a MUST. The ending is laugh out loud, and the epilogue makes me so happy and so sad at the same time.
