Juniper Hill by Devney Perry

Juniper Hill is the second book in the Edens Series. This book is about the second oldest Eden Knox and a single mother starting a new life away from her toxic family Memphis.

We learned Memphis was going to be renting the loft above Knox's garage in the last book. Memphis is a down on her luck but going to do anything for her son single mom. She works at the Eloise hotel as a maid which is a total different lifestyle than she is used to but is taking it all in stride. Knox has a sad history that we learn about that makes his relationship with Drake (Memphis' son) so heartbreaking and so much more special that he is willing to open his heart to a baby that is not his but he grows to love as though he helped make him.

I love that this book still has suspense and keeps you guessing but also has such a complete different feel as the previous book. Its not like in some series where you feel like you are reading the same thing over and over again. I also love that its not an instant connection and boom they are a family. It takes time and trust and growth. I also love that the relationship between the two isn't the only thing going on in the book, they both have bigger problems and their own family ties to worry about but will be there for each other through them.

You don't have to read the first book in the series to really enjoy this. But you will know more about the side characters if you do. This book is so so so good. I can not wait to see what the rest of the series has in store.
