Runaway Road by Devney Perry

Runaway Road is the first book in a new series by Devney Perry. This book is about Londyn, a runaway from California who due to a series of events finds her way in Summers (I am not going to spoil the getting there); and Brooks a mechanic divorcee who is working on Londyn's car. They have instant chemistry and want to make the most of their short time they have together. It’s not just physical they really enjoy spending time together and learning about what made each of them into the person they are. These characters have both been through so much and it’s amazing how much they both come together because of it as well as Londyns outlook on life even with her past being what it was. This book seems like a new direction for Devney and I am totally loving it. This book is about letting go and finding yourself, new beginnings and finding love when you are not looking for it. I can’t really go on too much on the plot because I would end up giving away spoilers. It’s on the lighter side and perfect for a lazy day just wanting to just lounge around, it’s not too long of a book but you do not feel short changed at all.

"There was something fresh about her. Maybe it was her outlook on life or her spirit. Maybe it was that she had gone through so much and she hadn’t become jaded or cynical. Londyn intrigued me. She stirred my blood."
