I am going to start off by saying how much I love this series. Unbreakable is about the Oldest Sawyer sister Sylvia and Henry DeSantis the Cloverleighs wine maker. Both people are recently divorced. Sylvia is a single mom of 2, her husband had left her for someone younger and got the other women pregnant while the two were still married, and Brett is a big jerk to their kids pushing them aside for his new family. Henry and Sylvia get close to each other knowing that the other knows what they are going through and their relationship takes off really fast. But when the heart knows what it wants the heart knows what it wants. Sylvia's children are struggling with all of these new changes in their lives and her daughter is afraid that her mother will push them aside just like her dad did. Being a mother I really felt for her though all of her trials and rooted for her throughout this whole story. I understood her decisions and really loved her and Henry together. Henry was so sweet and just perfect, they really were perfect for each other. I really do recommend this book, even though it can be read as a standalone I suggest reading the other books in this series first. Each of these books are so good, but I do think this one is my favorite. I don't think there is an emotion you do not feel reading this, and it really shows how much a mother is willing to give up just to see her children thrive and be happy.
"I’d moved here to find peace and security, to feel grounded and safe and strong, to create a haven for myself and my children, to piece my heart back together again and keep it protected. Instead, I’d fallen in love. I felt exposed and raw and vulnerable, and I hated myself for it."
