Wrecked Palace by Catherine Cowles

The Wrecked Palace is book three in the Wrecked Series by Catherine Cowles. Its about Caelyn O'Connor her siblings Will, Ava, and Mia, and Griffin Lockwood. I knew I was going to love Griffin from the time he punched Grant in Perfect Wreckage. I just had no clue Griffin would take the spot of my favorite character by Catherine so easily. It took a REALLY long time, and I thought no one would ever out do Liam Fairchild, but Griffin took that spot before this book was even halfway done.

Caelyn had custody of her three younger siblings since she was 21 years old. Her parents were into some really bad things and one night while she was away at college she got a call from her brother Will that there was someone in the house trying to hurt them. After that Caelyn had done everything in her power over the next seven years to make sure her siblings were safe and knew they were loved. She worked herself to the bone to make sure they wanted for nothing.

Griffin Lockwood had the perfect childhood until one day where his entire family had died before his eyes. His life before that point had been public and now all he wanted was to be left alone. Especially because anyone who he had gotten close to after that event had happened had no issue being bought by the press for a story. However, even with his trust issues he still had a soft spot for Caelyn and wanted to help her have a good life without working to the bone, so he offered her a job that would benefit both of them to prep meals for him through out the week.

Griffin and Caelyn came together so easily and they bonded so fast. It was Griffin with Will Mia and Ava that had me full on swooning. Mia and Griffin connected right away and he was adorable with the glitter and rainbows and being her Giant. Griffin was the male role in Wills life that he needed, it took a little while for Will to open up but when he did they were like brothers, teasing, playful, hardworking, and able to confide in each other. But the real moment that stole my heart was when Ava opened up to him, oh man did I have tears in my eyes then.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. I was so torn with reading it all in one night or waiting because I didn't want it to end. Just like with all of Catherine's books there is suspense on who is harassing Caelyn, I had my guesses at first and I was wrong. This book doesn't have to be read in order with the other books, but I would recommend reading them first.

"Caelyn was a miracle, giving me back my family without even knowing it."
